The second public debate held by the Australian Academy of Law in its series on Access to Justice, will discuss the topic of 'Overcoming Financial Barriers to Access to Justice.' The discussion will focus on the sources and means by which the justice system is funded and resourced, and how those seeking justice themselves fund the pursuit of their particular claim.
The debate will be chaired by Dr Warren Mundy, an economist who was the Presiding Commissioner on the 2014 Productivity Commission report on Access to Justice Arrangements, which has made a significant contribution to thinking on this issue.
The Panel will be held at The Banco Court, Level 13 Law Courts Building, Queen's Square, Sydney on Thursday 26 July 2018.
Please register by Tuesday 24 July 2018.
