Biography
Lucy McCallum graduated from UNSW in 1986 with a BA (majoring in philosophy) and an LLB. As a graduate, she worked in commercial litigation at Mallesons Stephen Jacques in Sydney before serving as a prosecutor in Canberra and then Brisbane. She was called to the Bar in Sydney in 1991 and took silk in 2005. In January 2008, she was sworn in as a judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in the Common Law Division. In 2019, she was elevated to the NSW Court of Appeal. On 8 March 2022, she was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory.
